NSPCC Helpers is an online community made up of NSPCC supporters willing to share their opinions about a variety of topics, from fundraising ideas, to campaigns and advertising.
As a member of the community, you will be invited to take part in a range of regular activities, such as surveys, polls and forums. You can take part as much or as little as you like, and you’ll also get to hear how your feedback is helping the NSPCC and the work they do for children.
We’re excited to hear what you have to say!
To be eligible to participate in the NSPCC Helpers community you will first need to complete a 5-minute registration survey, to help us understand a bit about you and your experience with the NSPCC.
Once this survey has been completed you will then be directed to the private members area of the site, where you can set up your personal account.
You will find this registration survey if you go to the "Join now" page of this website.
The NSPCC Helpers website is hosted by Harris Interactive & Toluna, a market research agency based in the UK. Harris Interactive abides by Market Research Society (MRS) guidelines. https://www.mrs.org.uk/.

If you forget your password, go to the Home page on this Website; click on the "Forgot your password?" link and enter your email address to request a new password.
You will receive email updates from the community to let you know about any new activities. Or alternatively, you can just log in whenever you like to see if there's anything new to take part in!
All community research will be conducted via the secure online platform.
On average, you will be sent a survey invitation about once or twice per month. There will also be new quick polls posted to the site every week or two, as well as occasional new discussion forums for you to participate in.
You are welcome to take part in as many surveys and discussion forums as you like.
The majority of surveys we send you will take between 5 and 10 minutes to complete. All surveys and activities are completely voluntary and we let you know the approximate length of the survey in the invitation so you can plan accordingly. As well, surveys can be stopped and restarted later from where you left off if you are in a hurry.
Yes, community members can opt-out by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the website to cancel their membership. Alternatively, members can submit a request via the Contact us form or send an email to info@nspcc-helpers.co.uk with the word "Unsubscribe" in the subject line.
Members of the community will not be given any form of gift, prize or financial compensation for taking part in research activities, although there may be exceptions when a task calls for a high level of time and commitment (e.g. a live focus group); in these cases, the type and conditions of gifts will be at the discretion of the NSPCC, and participants will have the option to refuse such gifts if they wish.
Some of our activities allow you to earn points. These points are a way of demonstrating your level of participation on the panel. You and all the other Helpers have a membership badge called a Helpers Badge, and can progress up different tiers of badges by collecting points. The more points you collect, the more valuable badges you’ll get, and higher-tier badge holders get more community perks and benefits. Such benefits may include, for example, early sneak peeks to NSPCC content, exclusive invitations to forums between high-tier Badge holders, and being first in line for important research on preventing child cruelty, requiring feedback from our most engaged Helpers.
For further details, please go to the “My Points” page.
For the purposes of this protocol, a ‘safeguarding concern’ is any information which may suggest that a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of harm. A ‘vulnerable adult’ may apply to either an NSPCC Helpers member (i.e. they are at risk from others or to themselves) or another adult outside of the panel, who may have access to children.
In the event that a safeguarding concern is raised by an NSPCC Helpers member – whether in a public forum or via a private message to the Helpers team – users will be advised to contact the NSPCC Helpline 0808 800 5000 for advice or support. The Helpline is open Monday to Friday 8am-10pm or 9am-6pm at the weekends.
Users will also be advised that any information they share which suggests a child or vulnerable adult is at risk will also be passed on to the NSPCC Helpline. The Helpline will decide if this information needs to be shared with relevant agencies, depending on the nature and severity of the concern.
If you have any other queries about our safeguarding procedure on the site, please contact info@nspcc-helpers.co.uk
